This invention has particularities aimed at improving the fixation of the lateral stop to the ruler and the use of the square for fastening small ceramic pieces.
Field of application of the invention.
This invention is applicable in manual ceramic cutters.
State of the art
Currently, manual ceramic cutters are widely known, which have: a base with a surface for supporting short ceramic pieces; a longitudinal guide for the movement of a tool holder head provided with a handle and a cutting tool, and a separation tool for the ceramic pieces previously marked with said cutting tool.
It is also known that these manual ceramic cutters have at one end of the base of a square mounted on an axis of rotation and

One of the objectives of the manufacturers of this type of manual cutters is the development of means for fixing the lateral stop to the rule that minimize the possibility of movement between both elements, establishing a moderate tightening. The applicant of the invention is unaware of the existence of a background that provides an effective solution to this problem. Description of the invention
The square for manual ceramic cutters object of this invention, comprising; -a ruler associated with a platform to be mounted with the possibility of turning and fixing on a base of a manual ceramic cutter; -a side stop mounted with the possibility of longitudinal displacement from the ruler; and -a tightening element for fixing the lateral stop to the ruler; It presents some characteristics oriented to guarantee a stable fixation of the lateral stop with respect to the ruler, applying on them a reduced force.
To this end, and according to the invention, the ruler presents in section two oblique planes that extend along it and that end in an intermediate surface provided with a longitudinal recess of general section in "T", in which it is located mounted the clamping element; the lateral stop on a surface facing the ruler comprises two oblique planes, parallel to the oblique planes of the ruler and converging on an intermediate surface provided with a mounting hole of the clamping element.
